T3 and TC3 Electronics Recommendation

Well I stepped away from ground RC for maybe 15 years. When my son was younger we had twin T4s with brushless motors. He grew out of that so I sold off most of my ground RC gear. I still have a barely used TC3, T3, and an early model Stampede. These are all from circa 2006. They all run fine but the electronics are outdated compared to modern stuff. I am looking for recommendations for radios, speed controls, and motors. I do not race but only bash around the street. I have a SKYRC charger so I can charge LIPO. I am looking to modernize the electronics.

All suggestions are appreciated.

If all still works then there is no need to upgrade.

Well doing nothing sounds boring. Maybe this was the wrong forum to ask.

How come the startpost is gone?

But you never detailed exactly what you want...
Yes, 2.4GHz transmitters sounds better but we have played with the old 27/30/40/75mhz system for many decades and for sure now with all people over to 2.4ghz you should have less issues with them. Yes newer transmitters have fast response technology but it does need digital servo's. If you have analog servo's you can not use any fast response so you will not gain an advantage. And the need is only real usefull when racing is involved.

Changing brushed to brushless is mostly done to go faster alhough there is a wide range of motors to find. To gove the right advise is determined of what the goal is.

My old 27MHz radio works fine when I'm on the track by itself, but when there are other cars on the track running new systems, it glitches.

I do not know what happened to the startpost. Maybe the Internet ate it. I would like to replace the motors and speed controls with something like the Stock 27 turn we used to run many years ago. I looked around and there are numerous brushless motor and speed control combos and have no idea which ones are good and which are junk. I am hoping that people who like to bash and own good ones will say they like theirs and why. I owned easily over a dozen different RC vehicles and some were twins so my Son and I could bash together. My favorite was a Clod Buster with a full aluminum suspension upgrade. The suspension looked a lot like modern crawlers.

I used to buy a T-Maxx every week. Yes, I would buy a complete RTR T-Maxx every week, strip it down to around 8 assemblies then sell them on ebay. I probably sold several hundred T-Maxx's and some E-Maxx's for parts. I also used to work in a hobby shop. Now, I have no idea which of numerous brands out there are decent for bashing and which are no good. I am hoping some friendly RC folks could offer their recommendations.

If you want something with similar power to a stock 27 turn, you're looking at somewhere around a 25.5T or 21.5T sensored brushless motor, or 2000-2500KV sensorless brushless motor.

I'd recommend a Justock XR10 21.5T sensored ESC/motor combo as a starting point, for that level of power.
