Default Binding old and new Spektrum gear?

Gonna ask a dumb question that I already suspect I know the answer to. I have an old, customized stick transmitter that I used for racing (Sanwa Super EXZES) and still use; I modified it to use the Spektrum SM1000 module used in the Airtronics radios of the time (early 2000s). Just bought a Losi Tenacity RTR SCT truck that came with Spektrum radio gear. Can I bind my old TX module with this rather new Spektrum receiver? TIA.

Your TX is DSM, that was followed by DSM2, DSMR, and DSMX protocols. No.
