One-Handed Wheel/Adapter for Futaba 4PX/4PM/7PX
#1

I'm interested in either completely replacing the wheel, or adding an adapter, so as to allow one-handed driving when running my crawlers...but also retain two-handed ability when running FE boats & off-road race vehicles. I've seen the aluminum "clamp-style" adapters, which require the steering wheel foam to be removed, and then the adapter clamps into the wheel (in place of the foam). This is NOT what I'm interested in getting, as I want to retain the foam.
What I'm looking for is either a replacement wheel that has a built-in 'one-handed' lever (which also has the standard wheel foam)...or, an adapter that gets added behind the stock wheel. Do either/both of these exist? And, if so, can anyone lead me to where I can buy? I've searched the best I can and, so far, I've come up (no pun intended) empty-handed. Any guidance will be appreciated.

At the time, I thought such was 'ridiculous', and that is never have any need to use a one-handed control 'device'. I saw several using one, such as Joe of Exocaged, but the only reason they needed one was because they were using their other hand to hold the camera/phone while filming. Since I use a GoPro on a forehead mount, again, I thought the one-handed control idea was dumb. Move forward a year, and I'm planning out a 4WS rig...but, instead of using the traditional 4WS 'mixing', I'm seriously considering completely independent control of the rear steering, using a dial on my 7PX. To do this properly, I'd need to be using one hand for throttle & front steering, while using the other hand to operate the dial controlling the rear steering. And, thus, is the reason for needing such an adapter.

Curious as to whether you’ve considered using a stick radio for this level of control of front and rear steering simultaneously? Would open up some opportunities for mixes and steering modes too.
I did have a look on shapeways and there are a couple of designs on there. One to suit spektrum (maybe you could modify the design to mount to Futaba) and one universal, although it wasn’t clear to me if the universal would meet your needs about not interfering with the foam.
