Rant about Hobbywing

Alright so I heard all a long what a good value HW was and I endorsed them to new people. I had been out of RC for awhile and recently got several HW combos to get back into racing and got aeveral friends involved buying HW as well. On the very first race event my esc burned up. HW responded to my email with a return number and I sent it to them which cost me about $10 in shipping. 1 week goes by and I email asking if they got it. 2 weeks go by I email agian with no response. 3 weeks later nobody answers phone or emails back. I am done with them forever. Stopped at LHS on way home today and picked up an RX8. I hope they treat me better. I hate terrible customer service.

Tekin has a phone number in the US you can call and a real person answers the phone. Any time I've sent stuff in for repair they have gone above and beyond. They even mounted up an esc of mine and went racing with it to ensure it was working on track before sending it back to me. They cost a bit more, but their stuff lasts a long time. I've still got a G1 RS Pro that I've used for almost 14 years.

I've been using HW for a few years now, with ZERO issues. I'm very happy with the stuff.

They responded after a period of over 3 weeks. That is just too poor of communication for me. By that point I ended up at the LHS and went Tekin.
