Default Muchmore IC Controlled Tire Warmers Pro - power source?

Hi all,

I can't seem to find full specs needed for a power supply for Muchmore IC Controlled Tire Warmers Pro

What do you use to power these? (Apart from battery power) Thanks.

I use my Protek Duo 625 to power my tire warmers and portable iron. It has a DC power circuit for pit accessories and works great

Any 12v power source. That can be a simple car battery up to a simple power supply.

From experience I can tell you not to use a higher voltage than the 13.8v I have seen blown up controllers on 15v PSU's

I routinely use a 13.8V 23A power supply. Just did some quick measurements:
  • Switched on, but not heating - 0.16A
  • Heating four cups - 5.6A
I think the wrap-around type have a slightly lower resistance, so peak power draw will be higher.

Thanks, actually I had a few 12v power supplies around with various amps/watts, I think the max I had was 80watts and none of them worked for me.
