Futaba 4PV Not Working or ESC's??
Has anyone with a 4pv or similar experienced issues where the radio stops sending the correct neutral signal? I believe it may be going out. Here's the situation.
Both cars, running HW esc's, a XR8 Pro and a XR8 Plus. Both are flashing red continuously which seems to Indicate LVC protection is enabled or neutral signal from transmitter is not set or matching stored value.
Servos are getting power as I cannot turn them by hand. On one car steering works, another it doesn't.
I've tried resetting the neutral position like if it were a new setup. Nada.
I've tried new fully charged packs. Nada.
Solder joints are Bueno.
What leads me to believe it's the radio is its both cars. The first car died on track 5 minutes into practice. I let one car sit for 30 minutes. Put it on, pressed the throttle and ot worked but then stopped again.
What's puzzling me is I did try to bind one car to a buddy's receiver.and still same thing.

Try the throttle calibration process on the transmitter, this can be used to reset the neutral point. It may be a dirty or failing throttle potentiometer causing the drift.

Check out the section of the manual called ‘adjuster’ starting on page 127

The other esc I turned it on today and I believe the motor may be toast. It makes a grinding noise on startup constantly and the battery wires on the esc get hot quick. Motor is probably seized. It is old and never serviced.

2 cars. Both had same blinking esc issue. 1 had no steering no motor activity. The other had no motor activity but steering worked. I troubleshoot further. 1 esc had a solder joint break which was also the car that had no steering. Resoldered wire and motor worked but still no steering. Tried a different servo and that worked so confirmed the original servo in there is defective which is also new.
