hopefully they can fix that with a software update. i wouldnt put up with that in a $600 device.

The radio has been out for a few years and lots of people have complained about it. No software update. I'm pretty sure it's just a crappy touchpad sensor they used.

It's still a good radio, I just swear at it whenever I have to use the touchpad.

For those having battery life issues with the M17, try reducing the brightness of the screen as much as you can tolerate. Also setting the screen to 'key-on' mode with a relatively short on time will help. For an endurance race we ran one hooked up to a USB power bank.

M17 has published latency somewhere under 2ms and the SSR protocol works with other brands of servos on the market. (I run AGFrc servos)

As far as I know Futuaba doesn't have any published latency #'s.
