FlySky GT2 problem
 

Hey guys, I've been out of the loop of rc cars for at least 10 years and recently got back into it with the kids. I recently purchased a FlySky GT2 radio that came with the FS-GR3E receiver. I got the two binded together but for some reason I have no output from the wheel on the transmitter but I do have response from the trigger. If I use the steering trim, the servo moves. If I swap the ESC with the servo on the receiver, the trigger would then control the steering, thus proving that the receiver is in working order and the servo is in working order. Am I doing something wrong with the programming? The person i bought the radio from said it was tested before it was shipped. I've never dealt with FlySky before but so far my experience with trying to contact them is crappy seeing as I havent gotten a reply back from the manufacture in a couple days. Hopefully someone here can help me out. Thanks.

Re-calibrate the ESC!

Ditto! Read your ESC manual, it tunes up your throttle position, Neutral, Full Throttle and braking, important with brushless motors.

The ESC is brand new and I don't have issues with the ESC portion of the system. It's just the steering wheel portion of the transmitter. I don't see how the calibration of the ESC would have any effect on the steering output of the wheel on the transmitter. I will try it today just to see what happens.

Oeps... There is a knob called D/R turn that to the other side.

Try reversing channel 2 on the transmitter. A lot of ESC have a fail safe that if they don't see a proper neutral signal from the transmitter, they don't initialize. There can be a "disagreement" between the transmitter and ESC on what range neutral is and reversing the throttle channel can sometime bring them into agreement.
