M17/rx493 binding issues
 

Hi all...looking for help with my Sanwa M17/rx493 (using Maclan MMAX Pro 160A Competition Sensored Brushless ESC). When I bind the system....all works well, until i shut off the ESC. Once i turn it back on, the servo still works, but I lose connection to the ESC? No matter how many times i do it, binding works until I turn off the ESC.

Anyone know why this happens and how to fix?

After binding, Did you Reconfigure your ESC ,the position of your trigger, Neutral, Full throttle and Braking? A must when useing brushless systems.

Something similar happened to me a few years ago with my M12s, I wasn’t following the binding instructions properly and when completed only the steering channel would work and the esc would not calibrate. Other than that,there is some common issues with the Maclan esc and might have to flash new firmware or send it in for repair

when you said it works well. Do you mean the binding was successful or do you mean the ESC responds to throttle input right after binding and somehow after a power cycle the ESC no longer responds to any input?
