Hello,
plan to buy a HobbyWing XR8 SCT maybe someone has had and shares their experience?
How long has it lasted and has its disadvantages? (Or pros instead)

Tough speedos..!
Their motors are not the greatest thou imo.
Got one that still works but got smashed..
The setup menu is kind of a pain, a programmer makes this easy.
If your motor is reversed after installing a-a b-b and c-c change it on the speedo menu.
Do not swap wires and keep the sensor cable plugged in. If you reverse it by swapping wires do not use the sensor cable as there is a chance that the sensor receiver in the esc will burn out at the protection resistors.

tons of guys run the XR8 SCT in buggies and short course and even some truggies, they are powerhouses. I personally run their motors pretty hard on both 4s and 2s and love them. lots of power
