Flysky with poor range

Just a quick one. I have a Flysky FS-GT3C that has poor range, I don't remember having trouble with it. Would you guess it is the RX or the TX ? Maybe 2.4 has gotten to busy...Is there a newer antenna i can upgrade to ? A compatible RX that is better maybe, Or mods I can do ? Can't buy a $500 Futaba. Lol. Hey thanks.

Just as a thought, i hope you get it fixed, but you dont need a 500$ futaba, many good deals on used ones on here.

Try a new receiver first since they are cheap, a small cut or nick in the receiver’s antenna wire can kill the range.

The GT3C and GT3B radios are very poorly made. I highly recommend upgrading.

Yeah an upgrade would help, but I've been using the flysky for about 3 years i guess and its been flawless. I have a Spektrum that gets just as crappy range also. I used to fly 450 size Helicopters that used Spektrum, and they were rock solid. The Flysky has more options and is back lighted. I ordered a couple of receivers so we will see. Thanks for your input Ill let you know.

There are also very good 200 dollar Futaba transmitters!!!!!

But this topic looks to me an electronics question, maybe a mod should move it....
