Default Anyone run a Reedy 17.4 S-Plus Torque?

This motor was recommended to me by a local guy at the track for spec racing. Anyone used it and can share experience?

I'm running that motor in my 1/12th scale and also my touring car. Good motor. No problems and plenty powerful compared to the competition.

I'm assuming you meant the 17.5. It's a really good motor. I son runs it and so does a lot of other guys at the track. I just purchased a Tekin G3, but I haven't had a chance to throw it in for a comparison.

Anything Reedy is a solid choice. Many people run it all with great success.

The torque version of the 17.5 is great for carpet and hot weather as it runs much cooler than the RPM version. From what I've seen they are also super super reliable. Never really have a sensor failure, or anything like that. Don't over heat it and it'll run forever.

I've run a lot of different electronics and I've ended up pretty much all Reedy electronics and just before that I ran mostly fantom motors and batteries. Both top notch stuff.
