Servos

Hi everyone,

I am looking to buy a steering servo for my FF03 Tamiya.

It is just a carpark basher.

Any good cheap options?
In the past I have used those Futaba 3003 servos without any issues or complaints, so is there a need to go anything better than that?

In the past I even raced TC in the 12 turns brushed class using a S3001 servo, Nothing wrong with that.

It is just what you want. Keep in mind that the S3003/3001 and many cheap dervo's are analog and will not work with the faster transmitter modes most better transmitters have today.

*** UPDATE

Consider JX Servos, they are a great value and are a reputable low budget servo.

The HobbyStar servos are made by SPT but double or triple the price.

Thanks for the clarification, I knew that RC Juice used to distribute JX servos, but it looks like they stopped carrying JX now, I had assumed they were rebranding them as HobbyStar, but I was wrong. I don't have any experience with SPT servos.

I've updated my original post above :) I think JX can be found on eBay and Banggood

I'm using the SPT 4412LV ($12) in one of my FF-03s, XV-01, FF-01 and LRP S10. All are working great. I used JX before but the SPT just outperformed it in terms of speed, torque, value for the money and looks, I'm also using SPT 5525LV in my MST CFX. While I have Power HD L12HV ($60) in my other FF-03. It's so fast and very responsive.

i picked up one of these because i liked their servos for my micro crawlers. i got it as a backup to my savox, then i destroyed the gears on my savox :flaming: Haven't had a chance to run any laps or race with it yet but it seems fine.
