How do you charge the M17 transmitter battery?
Hey guys I got a new M17 setup, but it doesn't come with any provision to charge the battery.
The battery has a micro usb port, and the manual talks about charging it at 5 volts/800 Ma, but doesn't say what to use to do that.
What are you guys using?
I have seen the posts on a wireless setup, but I don't really want to do that
Thanks

I use my IPad charger but I guess any USB charger that meets the requirements would be ok.

OK - my iPhone charger puts out 5v at 1000 Ma. So I shouldn't be worried about the slight difference? I would imagine your iPad charger puts out even more Ma than the phone chargers do

Just more stuff to buy. Regular charging should work fine

USB is just a constant voltage power source. The current is then not decided by the power source but by the device. If the specs says 800mA it should handle at least 800mA. If your USB power source can handle 10A then still the charger in the transmitter will take wat it needs and that will be within the 800mA range.

I had 1a car charger blow up my m17s factory battery. I had it charging about 45min and checked it and it was dead. Everything was warm, borderline hot. Radio was 10 months old at that point and charged fine with a 5v 1a wall adapter plenty of times.
But that was a much nicer samsung adapter vs some cheap car adapter.
Either way be careful with that you use, its not all safe to use. Luckily the track I went to had protek batteries which are nice enough but I miss the usb charging some times.

Use a non Iphone or Samsung USB. Use Micro USB cable. The correct cable. with wall transformer. Regular cellphone will do. If your a techie your can do it induction charge. View YouTube Sanwa M17 Charging. No ac power, purchase a Battery Bank.
