Default novak tempest max wires

In addition to the usual 3 wires for motor/battery, there are 2 additional thin wires. Anyone knows what those 2 wires are for?
I know some esc has a fet wire, but that's usually just a single wire, not 2.

Double edit - saw someone comment receiver, so updating my post..again!

There should be 8 "thin" wires according to the following:
https://www.rctech.net/forum/attachm...-esc-image.jpg
-The 3-wire twisted pairing is receiver.
-The 2-wire twisted pair is on/off switch (as displayed in the image)
-The shore 2 untwisted pairing is brake lights (per subsequent posters info)

Assuming you have a switch like the picture from the other post, those are for a brake light kit Novak offered back when the Tempest was around. The were two small red led's that you could mount on the back of your vehicle. when you hit the brakes they came on.

You get it 2nd hand? If you did where you got it from clipped off the power switch. Maybe the same color blk. Red/Blk/ Wht or org Slot #2 ESC.

How'd you confirm that? I dont remember Tempest Max being brushless. More brushed motor. Novak always had on/off switch on all ESC. I still think its an on/off switch. with Volttmeter it'll show you battery voltage. Novak close its doors 2016, dont know if anything online for specs on it. I'll check later. dont think its a accessries cable for lights.

The two wires are additional to the receiver wires and the switch. I measured them with a volt meter when going forward it's a few hundred mv, but in neutral and brake it's over 5v.

Your first post, you asked 2 additional 2wire. Its on/off switch. Look at it online TempestMax Manual. You in Ca? Me use to live in Orange County, not far from Novak.

Umm where Novak used to be..

I had three of those esc’s and all ran very well, the only reason I had so many is the number of versions that novak used for hyperfets.

Not sure why you're so set on saying it's the on off switch when the esc already has an on off switch. And what's you living close to Novak got to do with anything? I got what I needed from the post and that's finding out they're brake light wires. Signing out of this thread.
