Default Best 17.5 motor for Touring car

Iím current running a 2020 X-ray t4 with a 17.5 Orion ultimate stock motor geared with a 4.0 final drive with timing set at 40 degrees. Although the car handlers amazing I feeling the car Is slower than most of the fast guys.

whats the best and fastest 17.5 motor out there?

+1 for the Trinity X-Factor if you are racing at a ROAR sanctioned track, the club in my area allows outlaw motors so most of us run the Trinity Punisher which is just as fast as any team motor on the market

Hmm whatís the best motor out there. I may be able to dyno test an xfactor if a driver lets me. Then Iíll compare it to my new tekin g4. The surpass v4s is an interesting motor. But you get what you pay for.

here is what my dyno tells me about the two motors.
the solid color lines are the surpass and the dash line is the tekin.
bith motors tested at 7.6v, with a flywheel load that I made myself.
After an upgrade to Voltage sensing, the results are more precise.
a 17.5t motor is known to create about 175 watts of power. Iím seeing very close results.

the test below is with the upgrade.

The vs comparison tells me which motor to choose and how to gear it.
