RC6GS issue

I bought a Radiolink RC6GS transmitter and R7FG receiver last week on Amazon, and even on the first run, the receiver kept losing signal strength and disconnecting. I thought it was a servo brownout issue causing it to disconnect (even though my old Airtronics receiver had no issue with the same ESC and servo), so I tried a different micro servo that definitely does not need a BEC, but still got some disconnect issues. Even without a servo the RSSI goes to 0 on the transmitter.

I've been talking to Radiolink CS but they just keep asking questions or misunderstand what I'm saying or want more videos of what's happening, so I'm curious if anyone here has had any similar issues with their RC6GS, or if they've had luck with Radiolink CS, or if I should just go ahead and return this thing to Amazon and get something else (Flysky Noble NB4?).

Thanks!

Never had a problem with Radiolink products, though never had a need to contact their CS either... but I have had poor connection problems once which caused the Rx to "reset" itself, I had traced the problem down to a combination of 2 things:
1) Rx was not properly secured, although it was inside a radio box, the Rx was just flapping out, so I used double sided tape to properly secure it
2) ESC was old and the servo connector needed to be replaced

So with a properly secured Rx and new connector, my "reset" issue was eliminated :)

Thanks for the feedback! I just added a BEC to my setup and now everything works. I'm not sure why it worked with my old setup without a BEC, but as long as it works, I'm happy.

If you are adding a UBEC to fix the issue, then chances are you may not have the EPA (end point adjustment) set properly on the steering servo, it's likely that the newer radio is turning the servo farther than before and the servo may be binding which can cause a brown out.... so if the servo is still binding with the UBEC, instead of browning out, you might burn up the servo motor instead :(

Also what ESC are you using - interested what the internal BEC in the ESC is rated for?

I did have a problem with my first RC3S having very short range. I had multiple receivers and the problem still persisted. After posting and sending banggood a youtube video they sent me a new one and let me keep the old one (for parts).

Yup, with both my rc4g and 4gs.
