REEDY MOTOR HELP

Looking for a solution to a problem I'm having with a new Reedy S-Plus 17.5 motor.

Right out of the box the motor was weak. Only about half as fast as my Trinity X-factor 17.5. I hooked it up to a motor analyzer and it's showing the hall effect sensors way off. Sensor A=28 B=24 C=22
Amps being drawn are only at about 1.6 to 1.8.
Max RPM out of the motor is around 20,000.
I adjusted the timing up and down the dial and see no improvement. I disassembled the motor to check the sensor board etc. nothing seems to be off or disconnected.

Anyone ran into this before? Fairly new to working with electric motors.
Like I said, this thing is brand new. Perhaps just a "dud" motor or possibly a bad sensor or something?

Appreciate suggestions,

Thanks.

You have to get the gearing right, but S+'s are very dependent on their rotor.

The best thing to do is get the High torque rotor, if you have the standard/RPM motor. If you have the torque motor the standard rotor is what you want. And youll have to run really aggressive gearing, as in large pinion with small spur.

As far as timing you'll want it around the 40-45deg mark. 20's would definitely contribute to it being slow. 6 degrees different isn't great but might change at higher range.

Thanks for the info, I'll try playing with the gearing.

We'll see how it works.
