Is this battery able to power this speed controller
Hello,
I'm very new to RC and wondering if this battery will be able to power this speed controller. And if i connect it up correctly should the ESP make a sound? The forum wont let me attach photos so ill just write what i see on the components. ESP: Twister R/C brushless speed controller 7.4v-14.1v, 25 amps BEC. LiPo Battery: GN-402545, 350mAh, 25C, 7.4V, 2.59Wh. Thanks |
It depends the motor and setup of the car. The ESC only draws the current that the motor draws.

25C-250mAh is way too small of a pack unless this is for maybe a 1/28 car perhaps?
|
It sounds like this either for a small drone or helicopter.
|
Yes. This is for a helicopter. But I'm not sure if the ESC is actually working. If i connect the battery to the ESC should it make a sound or any indication that it is actually working? Or is the battery too weak to even turn the ESC on at all?
|
I did some quick searches but didn't find much on the ESC (granted, I wasn't trying that hard). However, the batteries I have purchased are basically shipped with a storage charge. That is enough of a charge to power an ESC to do configuration.

not sure this esc makes a arming noise.. you can check the bec on the rx plug for voltage also check if your trim values are at zero..no real info online on that esc but a ole dead link from 2010
