Help Identifying Trinity 17.5 Motor
 

I need so help Identifying this Trinity 17.5 Motor. I don’t think it’s ROAR legal. On the ROAR list there is a TEP1502, how do I know which one I have? I tried Google but it was not conclusive.

It was ROAR approved for a while and then it was pulled and is no longer ROAR legal. The 13.5 version of this motor is still ROAR legal.

I doubt guys will care if you club race. Ask first. This motor is OK, but I think the new crop of motors are a tiny bit better. Not really noticeable if you are an Average Joe. Have fun...

It was removed because trinity changed to a slightly thicker wire, like a few thousands of an inch. Its not really an advantage, and newer motors are faster.

A lot of clubs do allow it if you ask unless its a bigger race with tech.

I've had one and prefer my black fantom Icon and pilot tuned reedy S+ by far over it, if you need to replace it. But whatever its not like its running a mod motor in stock.

You have a Monster Max with the "Long RPM" Rotor installed. This is NOT the rotor the motor shipped with, but should not affect it being "legal" for club stock racing. NOt sure if the Monster Max is still "ROAR Certified" as it is not the current motor being produced by Trinity/revtech for stock racing. See the Trinity web site:
