My HW Xerun XR8 SCT is dead
I switched + from battery to - on ESC, as a consequence of that my ESC is dead.
One of two capacitors are blow. I can't separate this two board, so that I can replace this capacitors.
It is also a question, is it the only problem.
What are my options in solving this problem.
Thx.

Desolder all wires first, then u can take the heatsink off. But reversed polarity is pretty much a new esc for me

No, the capacitor is not the problem. Yes, it is dead but should not infect the working. Highly some and mayby all FET's and maybe the BEC is/are dead..

Likelihood that the capacitor is bad is high. A reverse polarity diode or FET is designed to blow a circuit fuse. Some esc’s don’t have this however rather circuit protection in the form of bias resistors thou the negative side usually uses low resistance shunted resistance. Reversing the polarity in fact does not directly burn out the MOSfets however the resistors that are used are chosen in watts so protection comes in a few forms, inter-gal, integrated, power, shunted ground.
Without going into a long story, some esc use integrated and a shunted ground as the driver when resistances are proper and power ratings allow the resistors to burn out before a critical failure.
Chances the mosfets are blown low, chances diodes and resistors are blown high.

Thanks, when open ESC I found that

When reversing polarity a maximum current will flow through the internal diodes and they will blow and create a shortcut.
You can meassure shortcuts in the FET's when you take an ohm meter ant measure between a battery and a motor wire.
