Default 1s LiPo charging

Hey everyone,

Still learning the intricacies of the hobby so I apologize if this is a rookie question but I'd like to verify I'm doing things correctly.

I have a 1s 3000mAh LiPo for my MT44 and have the squid plug on order so I can charge it but wanted to check my chargers settings. I assume since it's just a single cell battery, I'm not balance charging this (and since it's missing a balance plug) so regular charge setting set to 3.7V at a charge rate of 3amps. Does that sound right?

Here is the charger I'm using for reference

Default Question About Charging 1 Cell Lipo

Does anyone know what the max charge amps would be on a 1 cell lipo? I run 1/10 touring and USGT with 2 cell lipo and charge from 15-20 amps and dicharge at as much as 30 amps. Just curious as to what everyone is charging their 1 cell lipos at. Just started running 1/12 again and in the past there wasn't a 1cell lipo.

So got this charger, is it ok to leave this charged in my TX? I know leaving LiPos charged is a no-no but it would make it a lot easier if I could just leave it in the TX until itís low lol!

shouldnt these lipos be treated the same as our other lipos? using correct storage mode?
Im just wondering why we would store our lipos for the vehicles, but not for the controller.
i am still always learning as well.

Sounds good. I assume being a 1cell lipo makes this acceptable? A bit curious itís ok with these lipos but not ones going in vehicles.

Actually I never gave this situation much thought till now. These packs are lower mAh and once in the radio, they are not exposed to being banged around or stored in in hot cars etc..My radio gets used pretty much weekly and 2-3 times a week during the winter/carpet season. Been doing it this way for a couple years now and so far... no issues. (fingers crossed) I like the idea of only having to charge it once every 6 months though. I'm sure I'm not the only one doing this but would like others to chime in as well.
