ESC with internal capacitor.
Hi guys. Just curious, do any of you know of a brand other than Corally that produce an ESC for competition 1/10th with an internal cap? |
Usually the cap is outside so when it blows you can swap it easy and it doesn't blow everything else in the esc along with it.

Skyrc ts160a is a great esc with an internal cap |

I can’t believe these caps are so expensive. |

Out of interest, why might one expect to blow a capacitor? Usually if one connects a battery backwards something internal goes pop... |
The high frequencies and current bursts it has to deal can make the cap go bad.

Can you not read sarcasm? Not many Radio shacks around anymore, besides I get my stuff from Digi-Key, Mouser, Newark. I also have stock on hand of the most common components which included diodes, resistors thru-hole/Smt, capacitors-> ceramic, tantalum, Mylar electrolytic thru-hole/smt, small signal transistors, mosfets up to 10amp, rectifiers, plus a lot more. |
Notable brands I have on hand Cornell Dubilier, Vishay, Rubycon, Nichicon |
Some of the Gforce lineup has internal capacitors.
