Different balance connectors

I was about to order some balance leads and I can choose what connectors types I want ThunderPower / Poly Quest / JST-XH, I thought that this was universal? Can anyone shed some light on this? I am just getting into electric and maybe 99% are one type but I have no idea. Also I purchased an X6 charger and looked in the manual and did not see any reference to the type of port tat is used on the charger, so if anyone could let me know that as well I would appreciated it. I could also be just missing were this is all explained....
Thanks,

I ran into this few years back. My hobby store had a adapter that worked. ThunderTiger seems to be the only one to use odd balance plugs.

jst-xh is the most common..https://www.bing.com/images/search?v...=0&eim=0,1,2,6

Thanks, It looks like pin spacing is one of the differences...

I sent en email to SMC to ask what connectors they installed on their batteries and this is my response. So I guess as said jst-xh unless noted as something else.

Hi James,

We use the JST-XH balance connectors which are pretty much the standard now.

I had 2 LRP receiver batteries with "the other" plug, both use a pin distance of 2.54mm and with some force did fit in an XH balance board.
