Skyrc ESC TORO TS50 problem - car stops after some minutes and esc beeps
Hey guys, so I have this Skyrc ESC TORO TS50 on my EB410, with motor Skyrc ARES PRO V2 13.5 mod, 25t pinion, 2s lipo.
The car has 2 problems : 1)I have to push the car before it takes the throttle from my radio 2)After 5 minutes the car stop(servo still works) and the ESC keep beeping 3 times in a row. If I shut down the ESC, and I wait 5 minutes, then the car keeps running but after a while it stops. What is happening? I didnt change the auto settings on the ESC. I have only a little fan on my motor but no on the ESC. I didn't find any sort of troubleshooting on this ESC... |
your esc is under power for the buggy with that motor.
its thermallying thats what the 3 beeps mean. over heating. |
Thats explain! Thanks man, can you suggest me a cheap but ok esc for my EB410?
|
I would also caution to stay away from the SkyRC brand ESC's, they have not stood the test of time for me, after too many hard chassis slaps I would get runaways.... same issue on 4 different ESC's between 2 cars, I switched to HobbyWing 120A ESC's and no more issues.
I would also consider an Arndcraft fan shroud for your car too, it essentially injects the air into the motor far more effectively than any traditional fan mount: https://arndtcraft.com/collections/keep-cool If you don't want to go through fans, then invest in an aluminum case fan too, I've been using this one for a couple years now (same fan): https://www.amainhobbies.com/yeah-ra...0472bk/p529891 Best part about the Tornado fan is that the solder tabs are exposed making it very easy to shorten your wiring without having to many any splice solders into the wiring ;) |

Skyrc Is not carried by any of the mainstream hobby outlets. This esc being only 50amps it can’t even handle its own brand of motors at full timing. Perhaps you have the timing set wrong. These esc’s are really meant for 1/12 or smaller rc vehicles. You should replace this esc with a Hobbywing, Orion, or Tekin. At least 100amp. |

I have a few friends running the hobbyking version of the ts50 and have been fine (other then having to replace the sensor wire). That being said i think this esc is only good for 2wd 17.5 buggy or touring car applications. A 4wd buggy even with just a 13.5 motor might be to much load. I have a TS120 that was pushing a 8.5 in a stadium truck and I never had issues with it. |
Thanks very much guys, after talkin with a hobby shop owner i decided to buy a Muchmore Fleta Pro V2 💪🏻 I'll try to push this TS50 to the limits waitin for the new esc package🤣

Can’t calibrate my TS50. 21.5T, steering working fine. Got issue on setting on neutral and forward, when come to setting full brake no beep or LED blinking nothing happen continue pressing esc turn off. Turn on esc Motor doesn’t operate led flashing green when neutral when throttle led turn would red, apply brake led flashing green continually. |
have tried changing sensor cable no luck, connect with other 21.5T motor also same. |
Try reversing the throttle channel on your radio then recalibrating? Otherwise can you post a video of you doing the calibration process? |
Tried also can’t. Having problem uploading the video. |
