Futab 4PLS selector button issues

wOn mt 3rd year with this radio. Up to this point its been wonderful. Only issue I am now having is with the selector button. up down right and left are all ok, it's when I push the button DOWN to "EXE" it doesn't seem to want to work., It does eventually, but just takes a while or multiple tries. It feels like I am just not holding my tongue right, but it know it can't be that simple. It hasn't been an issue until now. pretty sure my tongue hold has been consistent...

I suggest opening the radio and using compressed air to blow out any dust and debris from the switch. Then spray electrical contact cleaner into the switch and press it multiple times. This may let you get away without replacing the switch or the radio.
