Cheap transponder/timing loop system

Hello all,

I am planning on making a clay offroad rc track. This is my first track and I don't know anything about the timing loops and transponders. What I have seen is that they are very expensive and I want to know the best affordable ones to buy. The track is 20ft x 120ft. Please suggest any recommendations and advice. Thank you!

I have been using Trackmate for many years now, very reliable and will stand the test of time, comes with everything you need for a 1 stop shopping solution, very easy to setup and use:

Does it come with transponders to put in the cars?

Yes, that is what is pictured in the preview screen of the box opening video I posted, I explain what is included and how it is wired up.

Trackmate are super in expensive system. This system is, great no problems. Just keep in mind, you need a line of sight from transponder to eyes. The eyes are mounted to an bar that runs across track, above vehicles.

How easy is it to remove the transponders from different vehicles?

I’ve got it on order. Hopefully late next week should arrive.
