TX alkaline batteries

I've been using alkaline batteries in my Spektrum DX5 since having too many NiMH rechargeable failures.

It dawned on me the other night that I didn't know what voltage was considered as the "time for fresh batteries" voltage.

When is it time to put in new alkalines?

they start at 1.5 volts per cell. I usually replace them when they read 1.2 volts per cell before a run.

have you considered Panasonic Eneloop batteries? they last seemingly forever between charges, and they retain a high percentage of their charge over long periods.

And if you want 1.5v rechargeable batteries you should get a set of NiZn batteries with charger. They have 1.6v per celland are more close to Alkaline batteries.

Thanks,
that's the kind of info I was hoping to get.
