Needed TQ for servo

So is there a recommendation sheet / quick reference for sufficient torque for a servo based on its use?
For example steering 1/10 2wd buggy 150, 1/10 4wd buggy 180, 1/8 2wd buggy 220, 4wd 260 etc... ?
Comparig all these servos and just don't want to go overboard if not needed.

I was re reading my XXXNT manual for my rebuild and it says to use a steering servo with a minimum of 50 oz of TQ, that is the last time I built a kit.
My new servo will have at least twice that much. Servos have come a long way in 15 years.

tekno recommends a servo with a minimum of at least 200oz of tq for there eb410 and et410 and at least 300oz of torque for there 1/8 scale buggy.

Its easy to forget the inches in an ozin. Half the length is twice the ozs and half the speed.

Funny how little torque buggies got by with with 4.8V in the 80-90's... now the push and thought you need "x" amount of torque or it wont work. Lol!!!!

One thing to keep in mind when specking out what minimum TQ you can get by with...……

The servo gears are designed to handle the TQ the mfg advertises. Keep in mind how good it is to have strong enough gears.
