Default iCharger X8 vs 308DUO

Hello all,

Other than being able to charge 2 batteries at once, are there other major differences between these two chargers?

The way I figure it, I can buy one now and if I need to be able to charge 2 batteries simultaneously in the future, I can buy a second iCharger X8.

Am I missing something?

Thanks a lot.

One other key difference is the internal discharge power ratings.

For discharging, the X8 has a 50W internal discharge vs 80W on the 308Duo. You can increase this using an external discharge bank or by powering the charger from a battery power source. The 308 duo will also let you discharge from one channel to the other.

The wheel and buttons are a little easier to use on the 308Duo but the X-series charger has basic but functional controls via a single up/down/press/hold system with a single switch.

Unless you're running 8S batteries then the practical differences might not be much.

I has a similar choice a while back and have been very happy with the X6. It charges fast enough that even when running two classes I haven't needed an extra charge channel.
