FlySky Noble NB4

I'm an old time 1/8th nitro on-road guy. I've had major radios, KO, Futaba, Spectrum, during my racing days. One day I came across this FlySky Noble radio while perusing Hobby King's Site. I have to say, I was totally impressed with the features and specs. considering a new radio at the time, I took the jump and ordered one. WOW WOW WOW ! This thing is so connected to my car it's unreal...I've never felt more connected with any other radio. My driving has actually improved because of it. more consistent lap times, predictability, etc. The comfortable feel in your hand alone will make you drive better. My buddy at the track being a skeptic wouldn't even consider as a real radio just because it's FlySky...
So two things to say here, first, if your considering getting one, don't hesitate, trust me, this thing is awesome with the features surpassing an M12, EX1. you wont be disappointed and for $179 with 2 receivers! (Hobby king has that offer) BTW, someone asked here regarding the small receiver, I run the small receiver in my Nitro 1/8th and the car is on rails. If anyone uses this in a large scale car, just make certain not to keep it in a radio box as the internal antenna has to be facing up and horizontal.
So the second thing to say is why aren't the major hobby stores selling this thing such as A main, TQ, etc.??? is it political perhaps. if so, its a shame because this is a high end radio for half the cost of the monopoly brands. Get the word out. It can only strengthen FlySky's sales and perhaps make the product even better. its all about support in this Hobby!

I love my noble. one of the best investments in RC ive made. hah
but i dont want Amain and the other major sites to carry them. they would then cost three times as much as they do now.

Bri - I never thought of that. your absolutely right. but here's the thing, for them to become a formidable manufacture, they need to step away from the image they created. by the same token to morvlov's point, this would also change the price points. Hum..I think we should make it the best kept secret and not share to much...LoL

Got an email from FlySky this morning with tracking for a new FGr4 receiver they're sending me.
Their support has been great so far.

I had a runaway with my second FGr4 today. The one I got to replace the original FGr4 that had a runaway. Luckily I have the antenna less one, the FGr4S, that I swapped in so hopefully those continue to be reliable.
Has anyone else had trouble with the FGr4 RX? I'd advise against using them at all.

Well, I finally got around to skinning my NB4. Pictures don't do it justice, so here's a 10 second video showing it. I'm really happy with how it turned out!

really? i've been running the little micro ones with no antenna in sworkz race cars and probably 5 non race cars since the radio pretty much came out and no issues??

It's not the micro ones that have had any issues and I run one of those every week. It was two different big ones in my ebuggy. I switched to running a micro one in my nitro and my ebuggy now. I'm talking to FlySky about getting the big ones replaced. They want me to ship them back so they can look at them.

The steering wheel sticker was rather difficult. It isn't perfect, but it's good enough. The hardest stickers were the two that cover the left and right side of the arm that holds the wheel and wrap around the wheel as well. Those were both about 3-4mm wide and L shaped with a 5 inch and 3 inch leg! Those were tricky!

I love how it changes colors depending on the angle you look at it.
