I just got orion r8.1 and it doesnt have the sensor wire on it and i ask the guy about the sensor wire and he said it ran better and cooler without it whats your guys opinion on it and it has the tekin 1950kv motor on it.

I believe things like turbo and boost only work when the sensor cable is plugged in, so it being unplugged it will run more linear, and cooler since there is no timing advance from the boost. I'd say plug it in and play with the settings to get it tuned how you like it.
