m12 vs. ko EX-RR
Hello, I have been thinking about upgrading radios I have a spektrum dx4c and now that I dont wreck every lap and can claw my way into the occasional A-main I am thinking a nicer radio is a logical upgrade. I have narrowed it down to the m12 or the EX-RR. i would like some input on which would be better for an average racer starting to get kinda fast. obviously sanwa is more popular but i have heard good things about ko

I came from the DX4C as well and went with the M12. Completely different radio feel (in a good way). Before I switched I didn't think the radio made that big of deal as long as you were comfortable but after switching I see what I have been missing the whole time.
The functions that I use the most often on the M12 are the race profiles that you can program in. You need more or lees steering or throttle, switch from profile 4 to 3.... |

i just seen this post today but there is nothing actually saying whats better in what way....... Djr8505 gave me some info and has helped instead of just sending me to a similar
You also could make an reaction in that othere topic that you want to know it as well and probably (highly) Djr8505 would have given an answer over there. |
If you could pick them up and scroll through them that would be your best bet on how you would determine if you like it or not.
I have the M12 s and I came from a mt4S and it is much much harder to look through it but and it a big butt I like the feel of it way better not just in my hands but the steering response felt better throttle response felt better my friends with Spectrum always had issues with glitching are receivers going bad which kept them from winning races . Iv try a ko remote I didn't like it in my hand it was a nice screen easy to go through just felt weird in my hand all the weight feels on top and it felt like it was just going to tip over But I didn't get to change any settings of the remote to make it feel more comfortable or any of the settings so remember when you driving somebody else's remote just because it doesn't feel good to you doesn't mean it's not good |
IMHO anything as in a new radio system would be great and better than a spektrum. I used 1 for years and thought this was off Im missing something. and it was my radio. a flysky would be better. best thing to do is find someone to loan you there install in you second fav rc and run a few hotlaps. then compare times and pick the fastest ..

Spektrum is slow, has many reliabillity issues and if you pick the wrong one you will end up with an AVC receiver.

Can you pick both of them up and go through them.. the ex-1 v3 is the one I got to use when I was going through remotes 2 years ago I like the flat grip the one my buddy had I don't like those but I felt like the weight was on top of my hand instead of evenly distributed through the remote like my M12

i am able to get my hands on both and go threw them probably a good idea before i pull the trigger on anything
