Default Steering servo: brushless or coreless? Anyone knows AGF servo?

Hi guys. Browsing on the net, I've bumped into this servo: https://www.agfrc.com/index.php?id=1935
Really, cool, total black.
Did anyone test it?
By the way, they offer a metal case servo with coreless or brushless motor. The coreless version seems a bit slower. What's the difference between coreless and brushless servo? Wich one is the best?

Looks great... But i cant find where to buy other than from alibaba.

For ur question, generally, brushless servo better than coreless and core servo.

Coreless is a brushed motor where the rotor has no metal core but is based on only copper windings held together with some epoxy.
Brushless is like the motors to drive models, it has a rotating magnet, no brushes and a 3-coil stator to make a rotating magnetic field to totate the magnet.

No brushes = no wear and so brushless is better but also more expensive.

In general I see coreless motors that are slightly faster than brushless. I assume its because of the low inertia of the rotor or potentially a higher current to torque ratio but im making an educated guess. Maybe one of you guys has a data point to help out. I run coreless but they seem to be a little sensitive to oscillation which is where i came up with the educated guess about the low rotor inertia.

IMO, coreless or bushless isnt as important in a servo but accuracy, precision, holding power, durability is more important. You probably wont be able to tell a difference between them anyways.

True that brushes will wear out, but I have yet to encounter a coreless servo that failed because the brushes have worn all the way down.

That being said, if you are asking for the best, then hands down brushless, but theres so much more than just being brushless.

Im interested with their magnetic encoder servo. It is the same technology use by tekin, highest and other high end brand.

Are there any replacement gear sets available for this servo? That has become a requirement for me to ensure that the servo isn't disposable when the gears wear out. Most brands of servos that I have owned tend to wear the gears every 1-2 years which can generate slop and will eventually strip if the gears aren't replaced soon enough.

That is a very important question need to be answered.
You can open up the link below and there you can find their representative contact to ask about it. As I mention earlier. I did not find anywhere to buy their product other than alibaba

This is just an magnetic potmeter, look arround and you will find them at Farnell and other electronic parts suppliers.

Have you heard anything on gear kits? That's the one thing I have to know before I buy a servo.

Message AGF on Facebook or Skype. They've been quick to reply to me.
