HELP!!! With team Orion R8X pro esc programming.

Hey guys,

I need help trying to program my team Orion R8X pro esc. Prog card won’t connect to it. Just says “connecting esc” everything is brand new- motor, esc and prog card.

I have the DSR-r plus prog box.

I have checked software and it’s the latest version. Won’t even connect to the esc while it’s connected to the pc. I have no way of tuning the esc and it’s a real pain!!!

Habe tried different sensor cables. No difference

It it works fine on my older vortex r8.1 esc. Just not the new R8X pro.

i have messaged Orion- no response as yet

Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers, Mitch

Good luck!!! From what i understand you need the old program box thats discontinued and it still didnt work! Got nothing to do with newist versions either most updateds/support are discontinued for that esc also. The only way i think you can do it is old school.

Ah your joking!!! Not the news I wanted to hear. Main reason I brought this kit was so I could program it all.

What at do you mean by doing it the old school way?

intreasting i I have the same esc and programming card. Been awhile since I played with it let me check it out and report back. As far as Team Orion support replying good luck. I have emailed them on multiple things with no reply. They are owned by Niedhardt which is a horrible company for customer service. That’s another story for another day. They also own HB Racing so that’s why you see Team Orion motors and electronics in there marketing.

Speaking of Team Orion I am really amazed they are still in business. Products are extremely expensive. Lack good customer service and often fail. I think they used to have string edge in there technology and overall fit and finish of product, but now all there competitors have caught up. I honestly never thought I would be runing hobbywing at Racing level, but there products are really good now days and priced right. I actually never needed there customer service because thier products work right.

Sure thing, and supposedly you don’t run the sensor wires on these. At least the pros don’t anyway
