Dual Throttle Punch adjustability?
What is the point if having Throttle Punch on a radio programming menu if it’s not recommended to use in conjunction with the ESC setting? I burned up the ESC on my Halix after turning up the Throttle Punch option in my DX4S menu. I already had some Throttle Punch dialed in through the setting in the ESC...it gave up the magic smoke...and a lot of it lol, after one long straightaway WOT. Is it for making extremely small corrections only? Is it so that the vehicle ESC can be set to zero punch and then adjustments only handled of the Transmitter so there’s less hassle involved with manually programming the ESC? Is it for ESC’s that lack throttle punch adjustability? ... doubtful since most of them, even the basic ones come with that feature. Any insight is appreciated! Davis |
I believe that feature was designed to make up for the lag in servo linkage on a nitro car......However I used it all the time on my dx4s in usgt to shorten my trigger throw and make the car more punchy between the short chicanes....ran it at 35% and never an issue.....I miss that feature on the dx5pro
