How close mount esc to receiver?

There you have it...how close can you mount them. Seems like a lot of heat to mount them back to back like I’ve seen on some builds where the esc is literally double sided taped to the esc.

my receiver is about a centimeter away from my esc and Im pretty sure most people running touring cars have a similar setup

Depends on the servo I’m using. With a low profile servo, receiver usually gets mounted next to esc. With a standard sized servo the receiver usually gets mounted on top of the servo

I mount the receiver on top of the steering servo.. if possible.
esc is mounted as close to motor as possible.

my SC5M..... esc is mounted on top of the battery bridge.. receiver is on top of servo.... all weight is balanced on center line.

works for me.

Right next to each other is fine, but try and position the receiver such that the antenna trails away from the esc.
