Default How competitive is the Reedy 600z and Sonic 540 FT 17.5 combo?

I have myself a B6 club racer but it seems as though the motor and ESC are more for bashing and pure club classes and not so much spec class. How competitive are they against the Hobbywings, Tekins and Maclans of the world?

Thank you in advance!

they do not have as many adjustments, however they are competitive. Once someone gets the basics of driving its a nice upgrade but getting in the game they are just fine.

esc is basic at most and only semi-reliable and the motor is fixed timing. Get a hobbywing justock and a $100 for better performance.

Fixed timing is a big factor. Not sure how close to the sweet spot it is in because that varies from motor to motor. I noticed that the higher end motors are close. Maybe only needs to be moved 2 degrees or so. Timing in general makes a pretty big difference.
