Hobbywing Throttle Cable Wiring
 

So I recently purchased a used XERUN XR10 Pro Stock Spec V4 ESC from the marketplace. I will say that the experience with what I received was underwhelming at best.

Anyways, I have to redo the wiring on the cable that runs to the receiver. There are 3 little markings on the case that read, left to right, a squiggle line, + and then -. These are directly above the prog header, and the throttle cable is just below that. Is the throttle cable the same pinout? I have checked that the far right wire is directly connected to ground, but I am unsure of the other two.

The pinout is a standard. Your cable has black, red and white colored wires, black is always -, red + and the white is the pulse signal.

With some other brands the yellow or orange is the pulse and still a black on the other side.

With a volt meter?

Trial and error works. If it doesn't work, turn it around the other way. It won't harm it.

As mentioned, the pinout is a standard so if you know on which side the ground need to be then the other 2 will be OK.

But damn... all black.... That is the result of all those fasion guys who think that all black wires looks nice. It does not bring any performance, only more confusion....

On the servo connector, there are the same markings engraved in the plastic, if your vision isn't great, you might need to get a magnifying glass to see the markings.

So I got ahold of HW customer support. They tell me that it is in the same order as listed on the case for the programming header. This would put the negative lead nearest the power button, which is what I had ohmed out with my meter. Its bad enough dealing with what I have over this esc anyways, I don't want to smoke a receiver in the process. Maybe I am being too cautious lol. Just thought I would post in this thread in case someone else needs some help.
