It has taken me a longer than I thought to build due family health issues but the dyno is almost ready
Dyno test
Parts to be able to run the motor only are on the way . Too.
The roller is a massive 3430 grams so it is a real test. I like the mini pro but the flywheel is to light in my opinion

I started building a chassis dyno as well, and with a heavy roller, then my esc died during testing because it was too heavy.
Then I switched to a flywheel design, and found the results are better as you remove slipping that could occur because of tires, and I added a pololu servor controller. This controls the throttle and ensures repeatable results.
I see that you only have the roller reading. For power runs, you will need a current sensor and voltage sensor. For voltage, I built a simple voltage divider and connect it straight to the arduino. Just make sure that your voltage divider does not output more than 5 volts, as you will end up with a dead arduino board.

I finally got to run my 17.5T in my 2wd buggy and i'm impressed. A guy at the club set the timing to 6amps (51deg) and using the same gearing as with my old motor it was noticably faster and came off cool. I've ordered a couple of bigger pinions.
I have another 17.5T which I will put in my 4wd buggy now. I'm currently running an Orca Blitreme but while its fast enough its running so close to the line to keep up with others and has been cooked when my fan got broken. I'm impressed so far

Hi all
I just received my 17.5 and 13.5.
Tested them on my analyser and was really disappointed with the numbers. Thinking i have a bad batch or something.
17.5 Surpass v4s
KV 3200
RPM 25923
Amps 6
Timing 54
13.5 Surpass v4s
KV 3759
RPM 30077
Amps 5.8
Timing 46
anyone else have this issue? Or is this just my Bad luck?

FYI... I believe it is one of Nick Adams videos states the Fantom is made by surpass. Don't quote me but I believe that's what I he said. There are two videos that Nick Adams did with the surpass, not one. This is why the Fantom motor is boxed and looks nearly identical and I believe the ESC, someone said, looks the same... with the same specs. I believe Fantom is made by surpass... But not 100%... Per what I believe Nick Adams said.

That speedo looks a lot like a Fantom one and the specs are suspiciosuly similar too. I still haven't found one here so ended up ordering a SkyRC TS120 as the price was right. I had a few unexpected things this weekend as a few things failed. ESC and battery being the expensive things plus some other little things, including new pinions for my now undergeared 2wd buggy.

They use a program box. As far as the settings they are to me just like any other program box. There is a way to hook them to a pc but I have not done it. I have no need to. I ca. Get the feel I want just from the program box

Now I need to get my hands on a program card for my new esc...hmmm
