castle and tekin both have this option. castle link can be used on a smartphone

You don't have to change the motor rotation direction. The motor plate and spur gear need to be bolted to the other side of the transmission housing. You put the 4 gear transmission together incorrectly. I suggest you look at the instructions more carefully when you are working on your car.

actually it was just a massive brain fart. I never even tried it. 4th gear cancels out turning the motor around. Duh.

I want to say the kyosho car can have the motor plate on either side of one of their transmissions. I remember someone else asking this same question and it turned out he built the transmission with the motor plate/slipper on the wrong side.

At least you didn't buy a new esc for essentially no reason. I call that a win.
