Venom 80A ESC problems
 

I recently acquired a traxxas bandit with the Venom Power 80A ESC +3300kv motor for the power system, and the guy messed with it and lost reverse on the ESC, so when I got it, I downloaded the manual, I re-calibrated it to my remote like it said to do, put it in run mode 3 because I'm running a 3S lipo, but apparently that's not right because now the motor does not beep at all or sense that the ESC is plugged in at all besides the fan turning on, and when I pull the trigger it cogs a bunch now. I'm getting kind of upset about this and I have absolutely no Idea what to do.
