That's AMain's estimate.... I don't understand why the manufacturer or the US importer cannot provide a timeline?

I emailed Sanwa JP yesterday to see if they said anything. I got a response last night.

I am Kiyoshi Kawahara at RC overseas dept.

We are so sorry about the delay of M17 release.
And we just notified to all of distributors that we will release M17 in the end of Jan., 2019.
So I think that M17 will be available at your country in the early of Feb., 2019.

I ordered from AMain July 31, I'll wait for it.

Maybe it is a European distributor deal only, but a few months ago (pre-ordered in June) I got a message from my reseller that they add in a PGS-CL servo for free due to the wait.

Got exactly the same answer from RC overseas.Wrote me that my M17 will be released in Europe at the end of Jan.Just read at ( Austrian distributer) that the release is delayed AGAIN until ,at least, the END of February. Wrote Sanwa again and also wrote that my patience is reaching its end .Waiting for the answer .

Local Australian distributors told me about 2 weeks till delivery. So that works out around late January.

For the guys that do have it already how does it compare to the M12s? Debating on canceling my preorder and just getting a new buggy kit instead. Thanks

Just received my M17 the other day. So far feels a lot smaller then my M12S. Menus are easy to navigate. Love the fact you can switch out the throttle spring. Will be using it tomorrow for first time. The remote came with 1.3 update but last night I installed the 1.5 update.

I've attached the official statement from Sanwa dated 13th of December sent to a European distributor.

They say they will "plan to start M17 production on Mid/January, 2019" and to "re-acquire CE/FCC on Late/January, 2019".

I have not seen any updates since this statement. I have no idea what the CE/FCC process looks like, if they may supply units before ramping up mass-production, or how long it does take to get the certification, or if it is possible to ramp up production and just release everything once certification is done, or they actually must wait with shipping until approve (in case they must address anything).
