Yen 49000, not cheap M12s replacement
49000 is around $450. That is right in line with the M12S/RS, and cheaper than the 7PX.

Weren't you bragging about owning multiple M12s?

By the time it gets to the US it'll probably be closer to where the m12s is right now but I see that as a nice introduction price and better than the 7px for sure. And with how light it claims to be, it may even be worth it to sell off an m12s now and get one of those to replace it If I am good with my finances when it comes to the US I might even sell my MT-44 to get one.

What is this? Are you guys dialing in some lag, or is this like an expo setting?

Since prices will drop, I can see many people going for it - including me.

Speed is one of the options on the remote... If you have a sanwa radio go and check it out. It just slows down the speed of the servo. I found it harder to drive when the server was running as fast as possible.

I probably will next year. When the price comes down a little. My M12 is fine though for now.

hopefully its Android based like the Spektrum radio. That seems to be working really well for them.

Hopefully it’s not based on anything other than their proprietary system. If they did that, they’d alienate all of their apple users and lose a lot of business.

I have a MT4S which is a couple of years old now but never missed a beat. Would I see any improvement in upgrading to the M17 or even an M12 as I assume they'll be cheaper when the M17 is out. What is the difference? This is a serious question, I'm back to RC racing recently after a 20 year break when we used crystals and mechanical speed controllers were still used in some spec classes...

I understand dialing in some expo, but I have never understood the need for people to dial in delay. It's a head scratcher as to why they paid big money for a low latency system only to rid the feature. I find that just using some return travel delay is the most effective thing you can do for removing the twitchy feel from steering. That is probably the most over looked feature outside of realizing you can use one of the dials to control throttle response on the fly. A lot of people have nice radios, but few of them really understand how to take advantage of the features from some reason.

There is nothing wrong with Android. There are plenty of android systems that will walk the dog on most mobile OS' out there. The issue is Spektrum. They have always been procurers of cheap garbage that have been well known for years for brown outs with planes/heli guys with their first gen systems, and their design/build quality and quality control is a joke. They are the highend of frSky with a traxxas mentaility for marketing and quantity over quality.
Spektrum is the ditch gun of RC.
