Sanwa 481/482
Looking at the two what is the difference? Anyone know that could shed some light on this matter. Thanks

And the RX482 has telemetry with the SSL function on compatible remotes. |
They perform exactly the same. The only difference is that if you have one of Sanwa's overpriced escs, you can program it from some transmitters. I would get whatever is cheaper.

I see both are about the same price point. Gonna run nitro, is telemetry worth doing In nitro? |
What class would this be? Offroad or onroad? offroad you would probably want a receiver with an antenna such as the rx-471/472. If going onroad, either is fine. I would get the cheapest one.

I personally don’t want it the telemetry. What’s with the antenna Though. Should I have one or not? That’s all I am concerned about. |

I run the 482 in both my nitros on large tracks and have never had any problems, they are great, it’s nice not having to deal with the antenna, I run the 482 with my m12s, and I can get the telemetry for what my battery voltage is at! |
What’s the range of the rx-482 receiver ? I bought new mt44 transmitter and it came with 482. Some says the internal antenna range is low. I have savage flux & gp 1/5 hpi baja. I’m afraid where they lost the signal. thanks edit : and which one is the better sanwa mt44 with rx482 futaba 4pv with r304sb |
Sorry to revive this thread but was hoping to get some answers on the range expectancy for the RX482?
I have it installed in a Tekno MT410 and it can make it about a block before I run out of range. Just wanting to see if this sounds normal or if I should be expecting more/less. |
With my 482s I can lose sight of the car before I lose range, might vary depending on environment but it's a non issue to me.
There are some mounting instructions in the Sanwa manual which might be useful to check. Good riddance to antenna wires! |

I read through the manual thoroughly and most of the ‘cautions’ seem unavoidable. I did my best mounting it as far away as possible from anything that could interfere as well as as high as possible. Seems like this might just be the range I’ll have with this vehicle. |
