LRP restart..

Jürgen Lautenbach, founder of world-renowned LRP electronic, announced that the company ceased operations on March 31, 2018 after months of trying to find an investor after going bankrupt last year.
Thanking all his business partner for his 30 years of support, Jürgen has taken the time to announce his new company, Lautenbach Racing Products, which will start operations on April 3rd. Jürgen Lautenbach said the following:

" Thank you very much for the great support that LRP electronic GmbH has received from you so far." As we know, LRP electronic GmbH has to cease operations on 31 March 2018 after having been on the market for 30 years.
At the same time, I am pleased to inform you that the brand new company "Lautenbach Racing Products GmbH" will start work on 03 April 2018.

You can always reach us using known phone numbers and e-mail addresses.
We plan to ship the first goods from 16 April 2018.
Lautenbach Racing Products GmbH is not a continuation company of LRP electronic GmbH, but a newly founded company.
It will work with a modified business model adapted to the requirements of the current market.
We will inform you in detail as soon as possible.

I look forward to continuing to cooperate with you successfully in the Lautenbach Racing Products GmbH. "

Jürgen E. Lautenbach

It’s good news , never had a problem with LRP stuff. Always hate it when a brand associated with rc products goes under. I wish them well

I’m of the same mindset, I have always liked LRP products and wish them the best. I wonder if “modified business model” means a shift in production from Europe to China? Just curious. I just bought a Blackbox 510r (which is very nice) but would have certainly considered another LRP if they had remained solvent. Will be interesting to see what products they bring to market with the new venture.

It would be nice if they left the support pages (firmware downloads etc) up while they had the relaunch countdown on their site :(

good to hear. I wish them much success and longevity.

With LRP officially gone, that means they dont have to honor any of the warranty issues with the current line of stuff.....wonder how they will handle that

You really think LRP does care about your warranty??

Smashrc 03-31-2018 06:40 PM

They went bankrupt and closed shop. This is a new company. I think they just walk away from the debt.

Unless creditors come after him personally. Besides, how does someone who just bankrupt a company get a line of credit to start a new one? Unless someone has been getting overpaid for a long time.......I dunno, wonder how he did get the money, interesting.

If the brand else has a good solid name or reputation
it's easier to get credit from the banks or investors..

LRP was incorporated as GmbH, which means the owners aren't personally liable for company debts.

walk away from debts.
walk away from warranties.
walk away from contracts with suppliers

New backers with cash..
New contracts with new suppliers.

Today's business model.
my opinion.

sickpuppy1 04-02-2018 06:50 AM

And I never had an issue with any LRP product I had, none. There is just something about it that feels wrong to be able to do that so easy.
