I need help finding descent sensored esc
 

I have been looking around and just can’t find many sensored esc for a affordable price and descent quality. I have been looking at other forums but just can’t find anything. If anyone could help or recommend a forum or brand anything really it would be nice I would like something less than $100.

Less than $100 might be a little harder, but at $119.00 you can get the hobbywing xr10 pro stock, if you are looking for stock racing. If you need something to use for lower turn motors in that price range, I'd look at the SMC ESCs.

What size motor are you planning to run. Above 10.5t hobbywing justock is cheap. Faster motor then that turnigy trackstar from hobbyking are good. Or you can find a used esc. There are lots of good options under $100

Knowing what it kind of car it would be used in would help narrow things down, but there are indeed a lot of options at under $100. Like faqcya said, those include but are not limited to Turnigy TrackStar 120A Gen2, Hobbywing stock ESCs and some other HW ESCs (in the Quicrun and EzRun series) depending on what you need.

HobbyWing is my go to brand for the best balance between value and dependability. Many other budget brands will get you by for the short term, but most will typically fail within a year or so. I've got a HobbyWing that is approaching 6 years old and still going strong, that brand will stand the test of time. If you should damage a HW, they offer deep discounts if you mail in an older ESC that's outside warranty. You'll end up saving a lot more money over the long haul if you stick with HW... been there done that.

If you won't be taking large jumps then a decent budget brand is SkyRC through Banggood, only problem with that brand of ESC is if you pancake your car from large triples, the ESC tends to glitch over time.

Im in a similar boat looking for new or used electronics for my scte. Im about 90 percent sure it will end up with a hobbywing esc. Hard to ignore the results and price

If you plan to race a blinky class, then I can recommend the Hobbywing XR10 Justock. Inexpensive and bullet-proof.

I have also used the Hobbyking 80A Turbo ESC and have two, one in a 2wd Slash Mud Boss and the other in a 2wd Slash dirt racer. Slight larger than the XR10 and you will need the program box to change settings. Also bullet-proof so far.

x2 on the Justock .. Have them in a 17.5 SCT and a 13.5 Wheeler , both run great .. $55 can't be beaten ..

Well, for blinky I'd say Turnigy Trackstar Sportsman 60A can't be beaten because it's even cheaper at $30 and works a charm (I have three)! :ha: But yes, the HW stuff is indeed excellent as well.

But since he had trouble finding something below $100, I guess he's not doing blinky.

I ended up finding a good deal on a hobbywing xr8 sct combo for my scte. Came with the Wi-Fi module for 120 shipped. Its my first hobbywing so im excited to use it

I have an associated b6d and I want an esc that takes up less size than the castle sidewinder esc it is huge for its purpose.

Well, depending on the Sidewinder model... the Trackstar Gen2 120A is 10mm shorter than a Sidewinder 3, for example, having a 39x39mm footprint compared to the 49x39mm of the Sidewinder. Or there's for example Hobbywing Quicrun 120A, which is similar size with a 43x36mm footprint. But being of the "novice" series, while reliable it doesn't have the extensive programming options of the TrackStar while prices are relatively similar.
