Sct shock help for racing.

Ok, this one is for you hard core sct racing guys! I've raced awhile, but I've never understood shocks to much. And with your typical sct tracks and racing, shocks were just.... meh.... in my mind. All I messed with was springs. But my local track in in the midst of building a new 1/10 track as they just redid the 1/8 track..

The new track is going to be indoor, Astro turf. Soooo, I'm looking to improve my sct rig even more, as I am still one of the few that solely race sct. (Scalers just look weird and I like more realist vehicles)

Soooo my question, for you hard core sct racers, What would be the best shock set up for a indoor, Astro turf/clay high grip track be? My truck is a tekno sct410 with 410.3 upgrade

This kind of question is probably better asked in your trucks' specific thread: http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...hread-329.html rather than in general terms because in general terms, the answer is lower and stiffer but as to how much is TBD.

Edited: Just realized you did ask in that thread and haven't gotten an answer yet. Not much SCT racing on turf - you'll be the pioneer...

yes, I tried to delete this thread after jumping over there. And yes, as far as astroturf, its going to be interesting. I am thinking about going with a set of pro-line ProSpec's. and then playing around with springs and oil until finding right balance on the turf

I race 1/8 scale and this is what I do. The top racers post their setups with track conditions on the setup sheet. Find the setup which closest describes the conditions of your track and adjust accordingly on a practice day.
