What speed are normal 1/10 scale touring car rubber tires good for? I just a tired blow on me at 77.5mph. Also how much timing, boost and turbo can I run on my 2s lipo tc4? What else can I do to get some more speed out of my car? So far I’m at 77.5mph in my tc4. I’m running a hobby wing 3.5 turn motor that’s rated at 9500kv. I’m running a skyrc toro ts160a esc. I run a 30t pinion and a 66t spur gear but I did just order a 49t spur and a 40t pinion. I also am running 30degrees of timing on the motor with boost set to 25 and turbo set to 30. This is on a smc extreme 150c 2s shorty battery.

Hello all,
I am new to 1/8 GT speed run cars. I got inspired by people like Phillip Jolley, Michael Baars, Henry Fords RC, Kill Mode RC, Martin Reber and many more. I have done a lot of reading and watching Youtube, but now i have come to a point that i need help from the pro's ;-)
Hopefully one of you can point me in the right direction. I am looking for a spur gear solution, Xray spur gear that fit my car does go any further then 45 tooth. After a couple of posts i can show some pictures.
Thanks

So far i got my tc4 up to 77mph on 2s lipo with a 66t spur with a 30t pinion with a 3.5turn 9500kv hobbywing 2 pole motor and a skyrc 160a esc. But i just installed a 55t spur gear and 40t pinion and on the first run it smoked and killed the esc. I then jsut installed a momba monster x 1/8 scal esc on and after one run the esc goes into over heat protection. What gives?? this is only on 2s but this esc is supose to suport up to 6s.

rice its the kv of the motor. I ran into the same thing with my old black can trinity 9600kv on 2 cell. I went with a helicopter esc that I picked up its a 200 amp nice to hear u broke the 75mph range.next is 85

I guess I typed that wrong, but it would really be cool if I could wire two ESCs together to work in parallel. That would make what I want to do even easier - I think. The goal would be to avoid having to go the MGM route for my next ESC and be able to use two Castle ESCs at 250A a piece to run a massive single motor. That's what I was thinking in my head, but it looks like crayneogeo says that is not possible.
On the subject of two ESCs and two motors, is there a specific way two ESCs with two motors have to be wired so they can turn one gear at the same rate other than reversing the direction of one of the motors? My assumption is a dual ESC and motor setup reduces the load each of the motors and ESCs have on them by 1/2.

I have used a neu 6700 (1409) on 3s and 4s and went 137 on 4s. the reason people don't answer is because they spent alot of time and money figuring out what works.
