Agreed. Sam is so far off in his own universe that we should just exclude him altogether.

Gotta go with Karl Hoffmeister or perhaps 2021 Larry Fairtrace.

Hard to argue. Karl comes out of retirement, wins roar title, leaves, refuses to elaborate

US listed should be made with an asterisk. What I mean by that statement is…….some US drivers only specialize is either carpet only or asphalt only. There are only a handful that are fast on both. I’m sure I’ll get bashed by fan boys for saying this but it wouldn’t be true rctech without an Internet bashing🤣🤣🤣🤣. Then again they may still be bust in the X4 thread😆

This guy was what some may call "a champion of the moment" or "the RC Nico Rosberg", winner of one big USA carpet race and then quickly moving down the ladder at snowbirds that same season(2013-2014) barely making top 10. Shortly thereafter retiring and finding other hobbies having accomplished the goal of winning a single national level race.

Fast forward 7 years to 2021 it was once time again to prove his worth as he honed in on the USGT class at the the upcoming ROAR paved nationals in Jackson New Jersey. Putting in a full single day of practice 1 month prior to the event he was ready.

Come race weekend with the assistance of local setup expert Mike Gee. He managed a shutout win of the USGT class at 2021 ROAR paved nationals. Then, just as done in the past this racer attended a large carpet race that winter and proceeded to only class in at 14th place amongst the likeness of 2021 Larry Fairtrace and the legendary Danny Jenkins.

It was very impressive, he won his national title still drunk from the night before after polishing off a bottle of Jack and getting lost in the woods of Jackson NJ.
